I’ve read the books, and I’ve seen almost all of the movies (I never had the opportunity to see “Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix,” but I recently checked it out from the library). I was stoked to see the trailer for “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.” The film comes out on Nov. 21, according to the Internet Movie Database. I hope to get to see the latest film on the big screen instead of my television screen.
In other Potter news, Tom O’Neil of the Los Angeles Times blogged about the film franchise and how it has yet to appeal to Oscar voters.
Potter fans will also have the chance to read a previously unpublished book based on some of the fairy tales mentioned in the Harry Potter series. Posted by CNN: Wizard news, Harry Potter fans: A book of fairy tales written and illustrated by J.K. Rowling is to be published for charity. A British charity said Thursday it hopes to raise $8 million through sales of “The Tales of Beedle the Bard.” Rowling co-founded The Children’s High Level Group charity, which supports institutionalized children. She has signed over her royalties.
