Ben Harper’s new band makes debut at voting awarness event

Ben Harper is one of my favorite musicians, and I was pretty psyched when I did a Google News search for him and learned about his new band, Relentless7. The band made its debut Oct. 29 at the Chevrolet Center in Ohio as part of the Swing State Voter Awareness Tour.

Relentless7’s Web site features three songs: covers of Prince’s “Purple Rain” and Led Zeppelin’s “Good Times, Bad Times,” plus an original song called “Serve Your Soul,” which is also on Harper’s album, “Both Sides of the Gun.”  Rolling Stone  and Billboard recently had articles on Relentless7.
