“Toast of the Town” fundraiser returning to Owensboro

Toast of the Town, a fundraiser for the H.L. Neblett Community Center, will be returning to Owensboro next month. This is the first time the fundraiser is being held in three years.

“It was well-received in the community,” Robin Williams, executive director of the Neblett Center, told the Messenger-Inquirer last week . “A lot of people loved to be involved. We kept having people ask us every year when we were going to do it again.”

Toast of the Town performers dress as musicians or music acts and lip-sync songs, and artists from the 1940s to the present have been presented in the past.

Money raised goes to programming for the activities at the Neblett Center.

Toast of the Town will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 13 at the RiverPark Center. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7.50 for children 12 and younger. Tickets can be purchased at the Neblett Center or at the door the night of the show.
For more information, call the Neblett Center at 685-3197.

Awesome event – congratulations on your comeback! OCTV 71 taped the event and is scheduled to air throughout the month of March.
