Here are a couple of reviews of last night’s Academy Awards broadcast. I wasn’t overly impressed with the show. I thought there were too many one-liners from co-hosts Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. Mary McNamara of the Los Angeles Times didn’t like Neil Patrick Harris’ opening number (which I thought was cute), but enjoyed the co-hosts.
Here is Alessandra Stanley of the New York Times take on the show.
Finally, here is an explanation of the “Kanye West” moment of the night, when “Elinor Burkett wrestled the microphone away from director-producer Roger Ross Williams after their film, Music by Prudence, won for best documentary short,” according to Salon.
