Casting call for “Glee” to be held at Vincennes University

Fox‘s hit television show Glee doesn’t begin airing again until April 13, but that doesn’t mean that you won’t have an opportunity to be part of the show. Vincennes University is one of the stops on Fox’s casting call for three new roles.

Registration begins at noon Eastern time on Sunday, March 28 in the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center at VU. Auditions begin at 1 p.m., according to VU’s Web site. Contestants must be between 16 and 26 years old. They will sing a 30-second, a capella piece. Judges will select several auditioners from the WTVW Evansville and WFXW Terre Haute viewing areas to move to the MySpace voting phase, according to VU’s Web site.

Five finalists will be selected from both Fox affiliates, and those performers will be featured during their newscasts, according to the Web site.  Judges will choose a winner from each viewing area, who will be announced on April 7.  The winner from each station will have his/her audition tape sent to the Glee producers with a guaranteed viewing, VU’s Web site states.

Auditioners must sing one of the following, approved songs:

  1. And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going
  2. Gold Digger
  3. Keep Holding On
  4. True Colors
  5. You Can’t Always Get What You Want
  6. Lean On Me
  7. Don’t Rain On My Parade
  8. Sweet Caroline
  9. Hate On Me
  10. Rehab
  11. Take A Bow
  12. Can’t Fight This Feeling
