Returning to roots

The Ninth Annual Bluegrass Returns to Its Roots festival is this weekend at Diamond Lake Resort in West Louisville. The event kicks off Friday with an open-mic session. Numerous local and regional bands are playing throughout the day Saturday, leading up to J.D. Crowe and the New South‘s performance at 8:30 p.m.

Check out today’s Messenger-Inquirer for more details on the festival, which is presented by OwensboroConcerts. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and younger are admitted free with a paid adult admission.
