My name is Beth, and I am a Gleek.
When Fox’s hit show Glee began airing last fall, I didn’t know what the hype was all about. So after several weeks of seeing Facebook updates and Twitter feeds about the dramedy/musical, I decided to check out an episode. That was a mistake, as I became hooked. The finale airs at 7 p.m. Central on Fox, and we’ll see how the New Directions hold up against Vocal Adrenaline at regionals.
Writers and news outlets around the country are chiming in on tonight’s finale. Entertainment Weekly has three things the show needs to improve on before next season. The magazine also comments on the 10 best musical performances of the season. Quinn‘s baby is due tonight, so check out TV Guide for that scoop.
Here’s a preview from tonight’s season finale, which includes a performance of a classic Journey song.

Here is the preview of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse that was shown during last night’s MTV Movie Awards. I tried to link it in my last blog entry, but it wouldn’t embed. I’m sorry about the technological confusion.
Though MTV launched in 1981 as a music television channel, the cable station has been a melting pot for popular culture for nearly three decades. The MTV Movie Awards have been a staple for the network since the early 1990s.
The award show aired last night, and The Twilight Saga: New Moon dominated the night. The vampire/werewolf saga took several awards including Best Movie, Best Kiss (between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart), Best Female Performance (Stewart) and Best Male Performance and Global Superstar (Pattinson). Check out the Los Angeles Times for more on last night’s awards ceremony, including a complete list of winner and highlights (and lowlights) of the show.
I’ll be honest — I don’t get the Twilight phenomenon. I’ve read all four books, and I’ve seen the first movie, but I prefer the Harry Potter series. Trailers for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows were shown during last night’s show.
Jillian Michaels, one of two fitness trainers on NBC’s The Biggest Loser has her own reality show airing this summer. Losing It With Jillian premieres tonight on NBC. In a Los Angeles Times article, Michaels describes the program as being a “life-makeover show.” Losing It With Jillian has Michaels spending a week with American families, helping them deal with weight and other personal issues. The show airs at 9 p.m. Central time.
