There are several activities taking place in Owensboro this weekend.
A preview for Carnivale, a retrospective featuring the works of Neil DiTeresa, is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art, Ninth and Frederica streets. DiTeresa will lead a gallery talk at 7:30 p.m.
DiTeresa is leading marionette-making workshops for children as part of the Bluegrass Roots Marionette Festival on Friday and Saturday, and pre-registration was required. The festival’s puppet performance of Blue Moon of Kentucky is at 2 p.m. Sunday at the art museum. For more information, call 685-3181.
Theatre Workshop of Owensboro‘s production of The Real Inspector Hound opens at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Trinity Centre, 407 W. Fifth St. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children. For more information, call 683-5333.
The Owensboro Symphony Orchestra‘s performance, The Drama, is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the RiverPark Center. The performance includes Brahms’ Double Concerto, Stravinsky’s Pulcinella Suite and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1. Tickets are $41, $34 and $20. Students with ID are admitted for $10.
